China: PPTV to stream broadcast Ligue 1 Conforama, Serie A TIM, and Emirates FA Cup in 2017-18

PPTV (Suning group), a Chinese internet and mobile services company, has partnered with MP & Silva, the UK media rights agency, for 2017-18, on 04/08/2017. The non-exclusive agreement includes the online broadcasting of the Serie A TIM, Ligue 1 Conforama, the Emirates FA Cup, and the Scottish Ladbrokes Premiership.

As with Tencent, the Chinese internet and mobile services company which signed a similar agreement on 04/08/2017, PPTV will offer at least six games per matchday of Ligue 1 Conforama, all games of the Serie A TIM, 40 games of the first five rounds of the FA Cup and then all games from the quarter-finals, and finally, 55 games of the Scottish Premiership.

Letv, a Chinese technology company, which became LeEco (on 13/01/2016), had entered into a "long-term" strategic partnership with MP & Silva on 20/07/2015. The deal included the online broadcasting, in China, of the Serie A TIM, Ligue 1, and the Emirates FA Cup. The new agreements signed with Tencent and PPTV complements the one signed with LeEco, which faces financial problems (see below).
