UEFA: with 18 European trophies, including the 2017 UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid holds the record

"By defeating Manchester United (2-1, on 08/08/2017 in Skopje Macedonia), Real Madrid (LaLiga Santander) earned their 18^th European trophy in their history, and are now four trophies ahead of AC Milan (Serie A TIM) and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), their closest pursuers in the ranking of the most titled clubs in Europe," UEFA said on 09/08/2017.

Real Madrid won its 12^th Champions League (known as the European Champion Clubs' Cup until 1992) by winning against Juventus (Serie A TIM) in the final (4-1) on 03/06/2017, becoming the first club to retain the trophy since AC Milan in 1989 and 1990.

The reigning Spanish LaLiga champions club also became the first to win the UEFA Super Cup twice consecutively since AC Milan in 1989 and 1990.

The European trophies of Real Madrid:
• 12 European Champion Clubs' Cup / Champions League: 1955-56, 1956-57, 1957-58, 1958-59, 1959-60, 1965-66, 1997-98, 1999-2000, 2001-02, 2013-14, 2015-16, and 2016-17.
