Manchester United announce a record revenue of €431m in 2012/13, a 13.4% increase

English club Manchester United (Premier League) have announced record annual revenue of £363.2m (€431m) for the 2013 fiscal year (01/07/2012 - 30/06/2013), on the 18/09/2013. This amount represents a 13,4% increase, compared to the previous period (£320.3m, or around €400m on the 01/07/2012). The club recorded a net profit of £17.2m (€20.4m), or 2.8 times more than in 2012.

Commercial revenues of the club reach £152.5m (€180.8m), up 29.7% compared to 2012. They represent 42% of United's total turnover. This increase is mainly due to the signing in 2013 of seven global sponsorship contracts, including the shirt sponsorship contract with US car manufacturer Chevrolet (€54m per season over the 2014-2021 period and €28m of bonuses for the 2012-2014 period). In total, sponsoring incomes of the English club are worth £90.9m (€107.8m), or a 44.1% increase.
