Matchday 1 of the 2017-18 Premier League season drew an average attendance of 39,978 spectators per game, from 11 to 13/08/2017. The average stadium fill rate was 99%. The 20 Premier League clubs recorded an average of 35,819 spectators per game in 2016-17, for a 96% fill rate.
