TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (Bundesliga) - Liverpool FC (Premier League), 1-2, the first leg match of the 2017-18 Champions League Play-off round, drew an average of 5.57 million viewers in Germany on the German public channel ZDF on Tuesday, 15/08/2017 (kick-off at 20:45 CET).

This figure represented an audience share of 20.4%, and allowed the public channel to achieve the best performance of the day in the German television market. The game was also broadcast on a channel of Sky Deutschland, which drew 190,000 subscribers on average.

In the UK, Hoffenheim - Liverpool drew an average of 605,000 subscribers on the pay-TV channel BT Sport 2. Audience share: 3.4%.
