Bundesliga: 15 of the 18 clubs begin the 2017-18 season with a sleeve sponsor

15 of the 18 Bundesliga clubs will begin the 2017-18 season with a shirt sleeve sponsor, as of 18/08/2017. Only 1. FSV Mainz 05, SC Freiburg ,and FC Augsburg 1907 have yet to formalise such a partnership to date, while the 2017-18 Bundesliga season opens with the FC Bayern Munich - Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena (75,000 capacity) on Friday, 18/08/2017 (kick-off at 20:30 CET).

Seven clubs have formalised their sleeper sponsors in the past two weeks, leading up to the opening of the season:
• FC Bayern Munich with Hamad International Airport, the airport of Doha (Qatar);
• SV Werder Bremen with the German hotel chain H-Hotels, who is also the sleeve sponsor of VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach;
• Hannover 96 with German insurance group HDI;
• 1. FC Köln with the German insurance group DEVK;
• Hamburger SV with the German food group Popp Feinkost;
• Bayer 04 Leverkusen with the German real estate group Westminster-Unternehmensgruppe, who is also the main sponsor of the German national ice hockey team;
• and VfL Wolfsburg with the US logistics company UPS, which extended and…
