Premier League: attendance for Matchday 2 of 2017-18, Tottenham - Chelsea draws 73,587 to Wembley

Matchday 2 of the 2017-18 Premier League season drew an average of 34,373 spectators per game, from 19 to 21/08/2017. The average stadium fill rate was 92%.

Tottenham Hotspur FC - Chelsea FC (1-2), on Sunday 20/08/2017 (kick-off at 16:00 BST), drew the best crowd of the weekend, with 73,587 at Wembley (commercial capacity: 90,000; fill rate of 82%). There were no games with fewer than 80% attendance, and only two games with fewer than 20,000 spectators:
• Burnley FC - West Bromwich Albion FC (0-1), Turf Moor Stadium (21,944 capacity)
• AFC Bournemouth - Watford FC (0-2), Vitality Stadium (11,360 capacity)

The average attendance of the English first division is currently 37,176 spectators per game on the season, for an average fill rate of 96%. The 20 Premier League clubs posted an average of 35,819 spectators per game in 2016-17, for a fill rate of 96%.
