LFP: record attendance of 736,375 spectators after 3 matchdays of 2017-18 Ligue 1 Conforama

"Ligue 1 Conforama is a hit in the stadiums with a record attendance of 736,375 spectators in three matchdays, an increase of almost 25% compared to last season," said the French Professional Football League on 22/08/2017.

The cumulative attendance of the first three matchdays of Ligue 1 in 2016-17 amounted to 593,491 spectators, or an average of 19,783 spectators per game, compared to 24,546 in 2017-18.

"Across all the time slots, the TV audiences also show very strong progression. After three matchdays, the audience of the Friday evening fixture grew by 44%, that of Saturday at 17:00 by 85% and that of Sunday at 21:00 by 49%. In the middle of August, the PSG - Toulouse match achieved an exceptional figure (1.5 million viewers on pay-TV)," added the LFP.
