Financial fair play: prize money for the 2013/14 Europa League suspended for six clubs

Prize money for UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) 2013/14 club competitions are withheld for six European clubs, announced the CFCB (Club financial control body) on the 20/09/2013.

The six clubs are FC Astra Ploiesti (ROU), FC Metalurg Donetsk (UKR), HNK Hajduk Split (CRO), HSK Zrinjski (BIH), Skonto FC (LVA) and Trabzonspor AS (TUR). Under the requirements of the FPS (Financial Fair Play), clubs participating in UEFA club competitions were asked to provide information regarding the status of any overdue payables as on the 30/06/2013. Following its last meeting in September 2013, the CFCB investigatory chamber identified, for these six clubs, that important overdue payables towards other clubs and/or staff or social and tax authorities existed.

"This conservatory measure will remain in force until all identified balances have been settled in full, or until a final decision by the CFCB adjudicatory chamber is taken," said UEFA.
