VfB Stuttgart have celebrated their 120th anniversary, by playing with shirts without sponsor, against Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1, sixth day of Bundesliga 2013/14) on the 09/22/2013.

The club played the match without their usual sponsor, Mercedes-Benz Bank, without the DFL's (Deutsche Fussball Liga, the German Football League) partner Hermes, a company specializing in distribution and logistics, which is usually displayed under the body's logo, on the sleeve of all Bundesliga shirts. The club had received special permission from the DFL not show its partner.

VfB have developed in collaboration with their supplier Puma, a shirt following the aesthetic line of the 1950 model. The 5,000 copies of the limited edition, sold at €75, were completely sold out in a few days.
