Bundesliga: record turnover of €68.4m for FSV Mainz in 2012/13

FSV Mainz 05 (Bundesliga) have registered a record turnover of €68.4m for the 2012/13 season, with a slight increase of €100,000 (+0.15%) compared to 2011/12, the club announced at a meeting of its members, on the 18/09/2013.

The club also announced a record a pre-tax profit of €8.3m, an increase of €800,000 (+10.7%) compared to the previous season. The club's pay bill has reached €22.8m in 2012/13 (€22.7m in 2011/12), including €18.1m (79.4%) for the salaries of players under contract.

FSV Mainz 05 have announced a budget of €72m for the 2013/14 season, including €25m allocated to the payroll, up 9.7% compared to 2012/13. The share of wages of the players under contract (€21m, +16%) has increased to 84% of total payroll.

"Our revenues are still far from those of big Bundesliga clubs but we stabilize among the top teams," said Harald Strutz, chairman of FSV Mainz's board. Our results reflect our continued growth and our economic strength," he added.
