Twitter: 16.57 million followers in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (July 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative 16.57 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 03/07/2017. The Serie A TIM ranks third in the European Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with 828,551 followers on average per club.

AC Milan are the most followed Italian club with 4.9 million followers, an increase of 144,878 (+3%) compared to the beginning of June 2017. Juventus are the second most followed club with 4.5 million followers, an increase of 135,885 followers (+3.1%) over the past month.

At 3.9%, Cagliari Calcio are the Serie A TIM club (from 243,982 to 253,584) which registered the highest percentage growth on Twitter in June 2017, just ahead of FC Crotone (+3.6%) who is no longer the least followed Serie A TIM club on Twitter. Two of the three promoted clubs, SPAL and Benevento Calcio, have the fewest followers with 6,413 and 3,537 respectively.
