TV rights: Sky Italia acquires Bundesliga rights from 2018-19, and extends with Wimbledon until 2022

The pay-TV group Sky Italia has acquired the broadcasting rights, in Italy, to the Bundesliga, starting from the 2018-19 season, on 24/07/2018.

The Bundesliga broadcast rights in Italy had previously been held by the pay-TV channel Fox Sports Italia for the 2017-2021 cycle, acquired on 20/06/2016. Fox Sports stopped broadcasting in Italy on 30/06/2018.

Sky Italia also extends its broadcasting rights to the Wimbledon Grand Slam tennis tournament until 2022.
