Spain: a stable turnover at €15.5m & a net profit of €156,782 for Liga F in 2024-25

For its third full financial year, the Liga F Spanish Women's Professional Football League posted a turnover of €15.58m in 2024-25 (from 01/07/2024 to 30/06/2025), stable compared to 2023-24 (€15.5m), according to the annual accounts published by the Spanish Professional Women's Football League (Liga Profesional de Fútbol Femenino) in January 2026.

The body's revenues are divided into three categories:
• Domestic (€5.19m) and international (€2.39m) TV rights: €7.58m;
• Sponsorship and licensing revenue: €3.07m;
• Agreement making LALIGA Spanish Professional Football League, new name with the six letters in capitals since 2023-24 the marketing agency for the Women's League until 2026-27: €4.92m in 2024-25.

Liga F also posted a net profit of €156,782 at the end of the 2024-25 financial year, five times higher than in 2023-24 (€30,347). The league reported equity of €572,426, compared with €415,644 the previous year.

Not included in its turnover, the Liga F also received a €10m subsidy from the CSD for the 2024-25 financial year, of which €7.5m is earmarked for current expenditure and €2.5m for investment.

In addition, Liga F had a wage bill of €1.64m in 2024-25 (30 employees), almost stable compared to 2023-24 (€1.64m).

• WSL Football, the commercial company responsible for the organisation of England's top two women's leagues (Barclays Women's Super League and Barclays Women's Super League 2), posted revenues of £17.4m (€20.1m) for its first financial year (from 24/04/2024 to 31/07/2025), which mainly included the 2024-25 season, it announced on 27/01/2026.

• WSL Football reported an operating loss of £8.2m (€9.5m) and a net loss of £2.4m (€2.8m), "which was fully anticipated as an early-stage organisation committed to protecting and supporting as many clubs as possible during this growth stage".

• WSL Football's revenues break down as follows:
- TV rights: £8.7m (€10.1m);
- sponsorship: £8.5m (€9.8m);
- other revenues: £0.13m (€0.15m, including ticket sales revenues from the League Cup, organised by WSL Football).

On 28/05/2025, Liga F released these key figures for the 2024-25 Spanish women's top flight season:

  • More than 6.7 million cumulative viewers, an increase in audience of 90% compared to 2023-24;
  • Total stadium attendance up 7% on 2023-24 (370,000 spectators);
  • 44 matches (out of the 240 in the season) played in the clubs' main stadiums, and not in the stadium usually reserved for the women's section (compared with 30 in 2023-24).
